Below is a highlight of the projects that will be happening in
the City of Crystal. These projects will be taking place at
numerous parks and buildings throughout the city.
Bassett Creek Dog Park
A contractor has begun removing hazardous trees and
overgrowth at the new site for the Bassett Creek dog
park. The following steps will include grinding stumps
and buckthorn and then establishing turf for spring.
Wall Maintenance
The trolleys and cables in the 30-year-old white wall at
the community center were showing their wear. Recent
repairs will restore the wall's proper function and prevent
further damage.
Park Project Engagement
We continue to work through the Park System Master Plan
and are looking for public engagement on 2023 projects.
Projects include two new play areas, an improved disc golf
course and potential changes to the aquatic center.
Fair School Park Soccer Field
Grading was recently completed at the Fair School Park
soccer field. The project contractor also installed irrigation
lines. To ensure turf is established for next spring, grass
seed will be put down in the coming weeks.
