Memorandum DATE: December 28, 2017 TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: Anne Norris, City Manager SUBJECT: Quarterly West Metro Fire Update West Metro Fire-Rescue District Chief Sarah Larson will be at the January 11 work session to provide an update on WMFRD activities. Chief Larson’s report will include a review of 2017 incidents, public events, the home inspection program and Records Management Software update. Chief Larson will also preview 2018 Capital Projects including Station 2 overhead garage door replacement and floor recoat. Memorandum DATE: January 3, 2018 TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: Anne Norris, City Manager SUBJECT: 2018 City Manager Work Plan During the city manager performance evaluation discussion, there were 4 goals identified for 2018 which are listed below. 1. Strategic leadership/visioning – provide vision for and encourage innovation in achieving Council priorities. 2. Financial management – continue work on long term financial management and establishing policies to meet the Council’s goals. 3. Service delivery – continue to respond to citizen complaints, continue to be proactive in responding to problems and analyze calls to determine whether there are trends we (staff) could anticipate. 4. Media relations – determine expectations for staff and elected officials for information regarding critical incidents. I am working with the city’s consultant, Karen DeYoung, on developing an outline of my work plan to meet these goals over the coming year. I will have a draft out to you prior to the January 11 work session. The Council should and provide comments as to whether the goals and associated work plans for each address the Council’s priorities.
