January 9, 1961
A regular meeting of the Crystal Planning Commission was held on January 9, 1961 and
convened at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Smith, Zaffke, Bownik, Ralke,
Sneva, Johnson, Lysdahl, Martin, Plasencia, Juday; also present were planning consul-
tants Schmock and Sherburne.
Motion by Commissioner Johnson seconded by Commissioner Lysdahl to approve the
minutes of the December 12, 1960 meeting as read.
Motion carried
Motion by Commissioner Ralke seconded by Commissioner Juday to approve Building
permit No. 11271 for Scandia Bar and Restaurant, subject to standard procedure.
Motion carried
Discussion of proposed multiple dwelling ordinance followed.

The regular meting of the Building, Platting and Zoning committee of the Crystal
Planning Commission was held on January 23, 1961 and convened at 7:30 P.M. with the
following members present: Ralke, Remus, Meisner, Lyndahl; also present were plan-
ning consultant Schmock and attorney LaGrange.

Motion by Commissioner Meisner seconded by Commissioner Lysdahl to recommend for ap-
proval the request of Golden Rule Building Co. of the division and conveyance of:
Lot 4, Block 1 West Winnetka Teraace Third Addition, and the Wly
41 of Lot 1, Block 2 West Winnetka Terrace as measured along the
N and S lines thereof;
Lot 1, Block 2 West WinnetNaTerrace except the Wly 41 thereof, as

and furthar, that a public hearing be held for consideration of a special use permit
for parking adjac+ant to co=wrcial toning on Lot 13, Auditorts Subdivision No. 146,

Motion by Commissioner Meisner seconded by Commissioner Lysdahl to table consideration
of vacating or acquiring that part of Lilac Way abutting Lots 1 and 2, Block 1 Twin
Lake Addition until such time as the city attorney renders an opinion as to the owner-
ship of Lilac Way extending from Vera Cruz Avenue to 48th Avenue Northy

Discussion only with George Johnson regarding possibility of a special use permit, or

proval the request of Katherine Skelly of the division and conveyance of:
That part of Lot 7, Auditorts Subdivision No. 328 Hennepin County,
Minnesota lying west of Twin Lake Terrace as the same was opened
and extended across said Lot 7 by the City of Crystal;
Lot 8 and that part of Lot 7, Auditorts Subdivision No. 328 Hennepin
County, Minnesota lying east of Twin Lake Terrace as the same was
opened and extended across said Lot 7 by the City of Crystal.

The regular meeting of the Crystal Planning Commission was held on February 13, 1961
and convened at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Juday, Plasencia,
Ralke, Sneva, Remus and Martin; also present were planning consultants: Allbee,
Schmock and Sherburne.
The first order of business being the eleption of officers and appointment of the
secretary.
Motion by Commissioner Ralke seconded by Commissioner Juday that Mr. Sneva be nomi-
nated chairman.

Motion by Commissioner Plasencia seconded by Commossioner Juday to close the nominat-
ions.
Motion carried
Mr. Sneva unanimously elected Chairman.
Motion by Commissioner Remus seconded by Commissioner Jday that Ralke be nominated

The regular meeting of the Crystal Planning Commission was held on 10 April, 1961
and convened at 7:30 P.M. with the following members present: Smith, Sneva, Juday,
Johnson, Martin, Bownik, Lysdal, Gabbert, Olson, Sandbaken and the following absent:
Ekberg, Plamncia; also present were Planning Consultants: Sherburne and Schmock.

an engineering report showing location of such sites,

The regular meeting of the Planning Commission convened at 7:30 P.M., with the
following members present: Sandbaken, Lysdahl, Johnson, Martin, Sneva, Plassencia,
Remus, Bownik, Meiiner and Gabbert. The following were absent, Juday, Smith and
Schultz. Also_.present were planning consultants Sherburne and Schmock.
Moved by Commissioner Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Lysdahl to,approve the
minutes of the November 27, 1961 meeting with the correction that the name Smith be
changed to appear only once and Johnson being added as being present.

Moved by Commissioner Meisner and seconded by Commissioner Gabbert that the de-
velopers of Hiawatha Manor Second Addition be excused from providing sanitary
sewer to Lots 1, 2, 3 and 1., Block 1, Hiawathat Manor Second Addition, provided
that the developer deed to the City of Crystal, by warranty deed, Lots 1, 2, 3,
and l., Block 1, Hiawatha Manor Second Addition for one dollar and other good and
valuable consideration. Motion carried

with the second meeting in the month of December and the next meeting will be

warehouse building on Lots 6, 7, and 8, Crystal Industrial Addition.
