In reference to the letter dated August 26th from 0. M. Hollom stating that the Council
wishes us to study limited Commercial Zoning, the Planning Commission refers to the
Council the motion of the Minutes of the Planning Commission Meeting of October 24, 1955,
in which we recommended to the Council that they instruct the Attorney to draft an amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance setting up limited Commercial Zoning. In view of the fact
that no Ordinance has been adopted, the Planning Commission at this time will investigate
this limited Commercial Ordinance within the surrounding area. We are considering certain
locations for limited Commercial Zoning but we would want the scope of the Ordinance de-
fined, before determining limited commercial land use of certain areas.
