1956 PC Meeting MinutesJanuary 9, 1956 W.1..UUM The meeting was called to order with the following members in attendance; Trombley, Schaller, Plasencia, Jarvis, Buckley, Russell, Dunn, Schmock, Hagen, Olmsted, Wollman and Bronstad, The Election of Officers for 1956 resulted in the following: Schaller for Chairman Jarvis for Vice Chairman Russell for Secretary Motion by Schaller seconded by Russell that the Planning Commission recommend to the council approval of building permit #7251 for addition to Twin City Parachute Co. for building on Lot 19-C, Crystal Airport. "Carried" Motion by Schaller seconded by Buckley that the Planning Commission recommend to the council approval of building permit #7259 to Post Publishing Co. for addition to present building on Corvallis Avenue. "Carried" Motion by Hagen, seconded by Schaller that the matter of building permit for Conoco Oil Co. at Lot 1, Block 1, Beckerts Addn. etc. be tabled until the next regularly scheduled commission meeting. _ "Carried" Motion by Plasencia seconded by Russell that the matter of a building permit for Skelly Oil Co. adjacent to Crystal State Bank be tabled until the next regularly scheduled commission meeting. General discussion was held on various alternatives for filling station control. Residents of homes adjacent to proposed stations registered complains about the number of stations in 'the area and presentative$ from theCrysta7 shopping Center, the Bank and Medical Clinic expressed their views for and against filling stations at intersection -of Bass Lake Road and W. "Carried" Meeting adjourned, subject to call of the chair, Se _'_=haima_n'_ itary N\ SPECIAL MEETING March 5, 1956 A joint meeting of the Crystal Tillage Council and the Planning Commission was held on March 5, 1956 at 8:00 P.M. with the following members present: Schmock, Bronstad, Dunn, Hagen, Bassford, Smythe, Hanson, Schaller, Olmsted, Trombley, Plasencia, Evans and Sandstrom. Discussion of the drainage problems resulted in a recommendation that the Council move to acquire land in question for drainage. A lengthy discussion was held on rezoning, Meeting adjourned at 10:55 P. M., subject to call of the Chair. Motion by Hagen, seconded by Jarvis that we recommend to the Council the final ap- proval of EDGEWOOD HILLS FIRST addition, subject to standard cprocedure. "Carried" Motion by Hagen, seconded by Plasencia that we recommend to the council tentative approval of EDGEWOOD HILLS SECOND Addition, subject to standard procedure. Park area was not considered necessary with the school yard and Sunnyview Park immediately adjacent. However, a donation.of playground equipment_by the developer, Ridgewood Investment Inc,, would be gratefully received. The alley is required for fire and police protection purposes.
