CRYSTAL PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
Monday, June 8, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.
Council Chambers, Crystal City Hall
A. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Crystal Planning Commission convened at 7 p.m. with the
following members present:

Moved by Commissioner Selton and seconded by Commissioner Buck to find that
the Economic Development Authority’s proposed sale of 3122 Douglas Drive
North does conform to the Comprehensive Plan based on the staff report findings.
Motion carried.
D. GENERAL INFORMATION
1. City Council actions on previous Planning Commission items: None
2. Staff preview of likely agenda items for Monday, July 13, 2015 meeting
Mr. Olson said there was nothing at this point.
Commission Heigel questioned if there was anything new with the BNSF railroad.
Planner Olson said no, there was nothing new.
Commissioner Sears mentioned that in the light rail presentation there was an option
to close two roads. Mr. Olson said he was unaware of any road closures being
proposed but could look into it. Commissioner Sears asked if the city would be part
of the review process for any road closures, and Mr. Olson said that they would need
authorization from the city unless it was a state or county road.
Commissioner Einfeldt-Brown asked if staff was aware of any land acquisitions
necessary for the light rail, Mr. Olson stated that he was not aware of any but it may
be too early to know at this point.

F. ADJOURNMENT
Moved Commissioner Selton and seconded by Commissioner Buck to adjourn.
Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
