The presentation will review the following: • The city’s general communications operations as outlined in its bi-annual communications strategy, highlighting… - goals and objectives for 2017 and beyond; - social media and other communications activities. • Brand reinforcement and plain language implementation. • Recent work on the budget, various marketing campaigns, video projects and other major accomplishments in 2016. • Community events calendar for 2017. In addition to goals and objectives for the new year, the presentation will cover a possible future website audit and possible upgrade in 2018 that could include a reorganized menu navigation, enhanced search tools, interactive features, subscription- based resident notifications and more. The presentation will conclude with information on the city’s media protocol and training on various crisis communication strategies.
