ADJOURNMENT * Items for which supporting materials will be included in the meeting packet CITY OF CRYSTAL ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO ALLOW IMPOUND LOTS IN THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE 7:00 P.M. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2015 CRYSTAL CITY HALL (4141 DOUGLAS DR N) North Suburban Towing (NST) has an impound lot at 5170 West Broadway. The zoning ordinance does not allow impound lots in the city. NST is "grandfathered in" which means it may remain in place but cannot expand or relocate to another site in Crystal. The Burlington North Santa Fe and Canadian Pacific railroads are proposing a connector track through NST's current location. NST would like to relocate to another industrial location in Crystal. North Suburban Towing is asking the city to amend its zoning ordinance to allow impound lots. If the zoning ordinance is amended, then NST would submit a separate application for a specific new site and a separate notice would be published at that time. The ordinance amendment may also allow other impound lots to locate in the city.
