CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Crystal Planning Commission convened at 7:00 p.m. with the following members present: X Commissioner (Ward 1) Sears [Secretary] Approved Minutes of the October 8, 2012 Planning Commission Meeting Page 2 of 2 J:\PLANNING\Planning Commission\2012\10.08\Approved minutes.doc Commissioner Johnson asked if the property owners had been contacted about the two outlots. Mr. Sutter said a signed Purchase Agreement had been received from both property owners. Acting Chair Buck opened the Public Hearing. There being no testimony, acting Chair Buck closed the Public Hearing. With no additional discussion by the Planning Commission, acting Chair Buck asked for a motion. Moved by Commissioner Sears and seconded by Commissioner Buck to recommend to the City Council to approve Application 2012-06 for a Preliminary and Final Plat of vacant land on the east side of Lakeland Avenue between 50th and Corvallis Avenues North. Motion carried unanimously. D. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. City Council actions on previous Planning Commission items: ▪ September 18, 2012: − Approved a variance for a detached garage at 6403 36th Ave. 2. Staff preview of likely agenda items for Tuesday, November 13, 2012 meeting include: ▪ Cavanagh property redevelopment: Plat two parcels Rezone the west parcel for senior housing Approve the site plan and building details 3. Quarterly Development Status Report E. OPEN FORUM John Sutter informed the Commission that Paul Whitenack had recently submitted his resignation from the Planning Commission effective October 9, 2012. Mr. Sutter expressed appreciation on behalf of the city and staff for Mr. Whitenack’s service on the Planning Commission. F. ADJOURNMENT Moved by Commissioner Sears and seconded by Commissioner Johnson to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
