"Carried" Clarence Olson reported on the manner in which Surplus Commodities were being distributed, stating the W. P. A. were supposed to furnish help to efficiently take care of this work. Instead, it is the practice for each client to help himself because no help is being furnished. President Galway promised to see that this situation would be corrected. A motion by Bronstad, seconded by Carrier, that the following resolut- ion be signed by all members of the Council and a copy mailed to the Ctate Highway Department: "Carried" "Resolved that we instruct the estate Highway Department to install one sodium vapor light at the Nouth end of the island at o6th Ave and the Belt Line, provided the Robbinsdale Council has made a similar request for the north End of the Island" A motion by Bronstad, seconded by Schmidt, that the.salary of the rec- order remain at $25.00 per month and the Treasurer ;,,100.00 per year for the year 1940. If Carried" A motion by Bronstad, seconded by Schmidt, that we give Clarence Olson permission to spend, not to exceed,,'12.50 for a set of boxing gloves. The recorder was instructed to get what information he could relative stopping the cutting of ice in the Lower Twin Lake. Bronstad promised to contact Geo.
